3 Steps to Sustainability Marketing
On this site we talk a lot about Sustainability Marketing. We do this from two different perspectives: the customer and business perspective. This post will look at the 3 steps that I usually divide the business perspective into. Essentially, Sustainability Marketing is all about how a company doesn’t only “talk the talk” about being eco-friendly or their corporate responsibility agenda. It’s about how a company really begins to walk the walk regarding their environmental, social and ethical impact and then how they communicate this with not only customers but all stakeholders whether they buy their product or not.
Commonly, on this site, we at Wills HR divide the sustainability “journey” that most businesses take into 3 steps as I mentioned above. Not every business follows these chronologically of course but they are typically how ESG (environmental, social and governance) approaches are initially measured, planned out and then currently implemented. We welcome innovation and different approaches outside of this approach and try to give case studies of people and companies who “break the mold” where possible as well.
Below we have a brief introduction and examples of each of the 3 main areas of Sustainability Marketing. You can click on the headers to find out more about them.
